2012 LINEUP ANNOUNCED!

It is with great excitement that we share with you the 2012 lineup for The Governors Ball Music Festival! To bring in this special occasion, we have created an announcement video for your viewing pleasure. Watch the video above to see the full lineup, along with some truly stellar footage.

IMPORTANT TICKETING INFO

The Early Bird Pre Sale Ticket Package will be available through our good friends at Living Social. This exclusive deal will begin at 5:00am EST on Wednesday, FEBRUARY 22ND and tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. This ticket package includes a 2-Day Festival Ticket, 2-Day Roundtrip Ferry Transportation, and a $10 merch voucher redeemable at the festival.  The package price is $185. (Savings of $35, plus $10 merch voucher).  Don’t forget to take advantage of the “me +3″ offer, where if you purchase the deal, and get 3 others to purchase the deal using a special link, you get your deal for free! The allotment for this special pre sale is very limited!  The link for the Living Social Pre Sale will be available on the ticketing page of govball.com.  All other tickets will go on-sale via govball.com starting at Friday, February 24th at 10am EST.

RANDALL’S ISLAND PARK: OUR NEW HOME

We are thrilled to call Randall’s Island Park our new home, and getting there is easy as pie. In addition to the subway/bus, we will be offering a Festival Ferry from Manhattan, a Festival Shuttle from Williamsburg, and car parking passes. We are THRILLED to announce the dates for the 2012 Governors Ball Music Festival!

Taking place on Saturday June 23rd and Sunday June 24th, Gov Ball 2012 will be expanding to a two day event and will feature some of the best acts in the indie, electronic, rock, hip hop and pop music scenes. We are expanding our programming scope to add new flavors to the festival experience, and we couldn’t be more excited to diversify our musical offerings!

We are also thrilled to announce that we are moving the event’s home to Randall’s Island! With more ways to access the festival venue (public transpo, ferry, car, shuttle/party bus, bike, and by foot), the overall festival experience will be improved and y’all will have an easier time getting to and from the venue each day. In addition, Governors Island is undergoing some pretty serious construction next summer, so returning there was not a possible option. We hope all are as excited about this as we are. We’re counting down the days until we open gates and get this party started.

The lineup announcement is coming in January. STAY TUNED and feel free to stop by our Facebook page to give us suggestions on who you would like to see next year!
