Only 4 days until the party starts, so be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates and news regarding the festival. We will be pushing out information via these channels to make your festival experience better, so don’t sleep on this!

FERRIES AND BROOKLYN SHUTTLES ALMOST SOLD OUT

We’re not kidding folks – festival ferries from Manhattan and festival shuttles from Williamsburg are very, very close to selling out. Make sure you get these in the next couple days, because it’s looking like they will be entirely sold out prior to festival days. Also, please keep in mind that the Saturday of the festival weekend is the 116th Street Festival and the Sunday of the festival weekend is the Puerto Rican Day Parade. Things will be quite busy around those parts, so taking either the ferry or the shuttle is the very best way to avoid the congestion and go to/from the festival the quickest.

BAG SEARCH

We are required to search each and every bag upon entry to the festival, and each entrance will have separate/dedicated lanes for bag searches. These bag search lanes will move a bit slower than other non bag search lanes, so please be patient if you are bringing a bag and waiting in line. To avoid these lines, we encourage you to leave your bags at home!

FOOD VENDORS

Food is delicious and awesome, and we’re stoked to announce this year’s final list of delicious and delectable eats. Representing this year’s food vendors are Luke’s Lobster, Coolhaus Ice Cream Sandwiches, Rickshaw Dumplings, Mile End Deli, Num Pang Vietnamese Sandwiches, Porchetta, Little Meunster Grilled Cheese, Arancini Bros Rice Balls, Asiadog, Baohaus, Bareburger, Brindle Room, Ports Coffee & Tea, and more. ART INSTALLATIONS!

While we can’t give away too much here (for the sake of surprises), we are putting a large focus this year on visual design and art installations – all to enhance your Gov Ball 2013 experience! Between balloon chains to the heavens, giant oversized “things,” and live graffiti painting, there will be a myriad of visual design pieces to brighten your visual senses. DINOSAUR JR AFTER SHOW!

Tickets are still on sale for Dinosaur Jr’s official Gov Ball after show at Irving Plaza in Union Square. Special guest Reignwolf is direct support. Get your tickets HERE.

We’re excited to announce that we will be releasing a very limited allotment of GA tickets! In order to combat scalpers, these tickets will be available through a lottery system. The lottery registration will open now and will close on Monday night, May 27th at 11:59pm. Your entry time does not impact your chances of being picked as long as you enter during the registration period. We want to ensure that these tickets go to fans directly, so you can only purchase up to 2 tickets per lottery, and there is a lottery for single day and 3-day tickets. • There are 4 different lotteries you can enter (3-DAY GA, FRIDAY GA, SATURDAY GA, and SUNDAY GA)
• You can only enter each lottery once, and there is a 2 ticket limit per lottery
